MLS subscribers/participants can request a Bluetooth lockbox to use on a new listing at no cost.
Use of MLS lockbox based on availability -- we have 1,000 Bluetooth lockboxes in our inventory.
MLS subscribers/participants can use the MLS lockbox for the duration of their active listing.
When the listing closes (i.e. goes from “active” to “sold” status), the MLS lockbox is returned to HiCentral MLS and goes back into the loan pool.
Ready to request a lockbox?
Create your new listing in the MLS as usual.
On the new Lockbox tab, check the box for “Request a lockbox.”
You will receive an email confirmation from HiCentral MLS staff within 24 business hours of your request with further instructions.
Your assigned MLS Bluetooth Lockbox will be available for pick up at the HBR building (1136 12thAvenue, Honolulu, 96816) -or- from one of the participating member offices as instructed in your email confirmation.
If an MLS Bluetooth lockbox is not available at the time of your request, you will be placed on a waitlist.
Who can participate in the lockbox project?
Full HiCentral MLS subscribers/participants who can make the request in their new listing are eligible to receive a lockbox at no cost.
Contact SentriLock Support at 1-877-736-8745 for training and operational lockbox support. SentriLock tech staff are available 7-days a week, 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 midnight Eastern Standard Time (3:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Hawaii Time).

About our Tech for Teachers campaign
Who we helped:
As an association of REALTORS®, the welfare of our community, our friends, and our neighbors are extremely important to us. The Honolulu Board of REALTORS® (HBR) wants to help the hardworking educators on Oʻahu and Molokaʻi, who help our keiki continue to learn despite limited resources and the hardships of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Educators are doing so much to ensure that our keiki continue to learn during this pandemic. We want to help make their job a little easier so they can continue to nurture our most precious commodity -- the next generation of leaders and innovators.
How we helped:
HBR donated $20,000 to seed our Tech for Teachers campaign to support local teachers so they can help our keiki through distance learning. We received more than 200 great applications from teachers who were extremely appreciative for a chance to receive a tech package (valued at $300).
We asked our members to collectively match this donation amount so that together we could help more teachers. We had 111 individual HBR members, firms, and partners step up and donate enough for us to surpass our fundraising goal and allowed us to provide something to everyone who applied.
Donations went towards the purchase of tech items based on the teacher's application. We were able to gift tech items to 218 educators across 63 different schools on O'ahu and Moloka'i representing all Complex Areas.
Teachers receive a tech package that includes a computer monitor, wireless headphones, and a document camera. For requested items not available in our tech package, teachers were provided with a Best Buy gift card for them to purchase what they needed.
The items are presented to the teachers at each school from late February to mid-March 2021.

ABOUT
REALTORS® are community advocates and the Honolulu Board of REALTORS® Good Neighbor Awards celebrates local community champions within our board for their volunteer community service. Our goal through this award program is to illuminate, inspire, and perpetuate the individual contributions of our REALTORS® in the community.
A Good Neighbor gives his or her talents, money, and most importantly, their time to make an extraordinary impact on their community.
Three winners will be announced each June during HBR’s Summer GMM program and will receive a grant to be awarded to the non-profit/charity they are involved with:

RULES & CRITERIA
About the Nominee
Nominees must be a REALTOR® member of the Honolulu Board of REALTORS® in good standing.
Nominees must not have any ethics or regulatory violations within the last three years.
REALTORS® may nominate themselves or be nominated by someone else, such as another HBR member or the community organization they serve.
Nominees should have significantly contributed personal time (volunteer, unpaid hours) to a project. Contributions of money or other resources will be considered by the judges.
The award is intended to recognize individual contributions, not association- or company-wide efforts. If an individual can be singled out as instrumental to the success of a group effort, he or she is eligible.
About the Community Work
Some portion of the nominee’s community work must have taken place in the previous year (e.g., for the 2023 award, the volunteer service should have occurred in 2022). Judges will consider ongoing efforts outside that time frame that demonstrate a depth of commitment.
The program or project should help or improve the community. Those activities are not limited to real estate or housing issues.
The non-profit organizations/charities to be awarded the grant must be a registered Hawai'i 501(c)(3) in good standing to be eligible.
Nominees should be able to document the results of their individual involvement through testimonials and/or published reports from the organization they served or the people they helped.
About Scoring and Judging
Nomination must be accompanied by a completed application form with short essay and documentation and received by March 31 to be eligible for judging.
All applications will be evaluated by an independent panel of judges.
Nominees will be judged on his/her level of personal contribution, the impact of personal contribution, and the broadness of impact.
Information provided on the application is subject to verification.
Kamehameha Schools Resource Centers will carry information on our HOPE Homebuyer Education Program to provide more opportunities for the Native Hawaiian community to become first-time homeowners through homebuyer education and counseling through HHOC. Feel free to share our informational flyer with anyone who is part of the Native Hawaiian community to receive the HBR courtesy discount (lifetime HHOC membership for just $10). REMINDER: You can still refer your clients to our HOPE Program to receive the same discount.
