Mayor Kirk Caldwell has extended an invitation to REALTORS® attend the “Heroes Housing Heroes” event Thur., July 9, from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Mission Memorial Auditorium, located next to Honolulu Hale on the grounds of the Honolulu Civic Center at 550 South King Street.
The Heroes Housing Heroes Campaign is a part of the Mayors Challenge to End Veteran Homelessness, an initiative with the goal of ending veteran homelessness by the end of 2015. The Mayor's Office is asking property owners who have studios or one- or two-bedroom units across the island to participate in the solution to veteran homelessness.
In addition to the Mayor, special guests will include U.S. Secretary of Veteran Affairs Robert McDonald and U.S. Secretary of Labor Thomas E. Perez. Light refreshments and time to visit the community service provider booths will also be available.
