Online Education from NAR - Center for REALTOR® Development
The Center for REALTOR® Development (CRD) offers online education courses (note: no CE credits), including:
- NAR designation and certification courses
- Code of Ethics Training
- Fair Housing Training - Fairhaven (Fair Housing Simulation, version 2.0 updated for 2025)
✅ Membership Requirements: Complete these mandatory trainings every three years for NAR membership:
1. CODE OF ETHICS REQUIREMENT:
NAR requires REALTORS® (R, PB, BIC, and appraiser members) to complete ethics training every three years, with each three-year cycle ending on December 31st of the third year.
Current cycle: Begins Jan. 1, 2025, and ends on Dec. 31, 2027. More information about fulfilling your ethics requirement here.
✅ HBR-approved courses: Take one of these courses to satisfy the Code of Ethics training requirement - course list as of Sept. 15, 2026:
- HBR's Code of Ethics course (3 CE) - live webinar dates TBD
- NAR's Code of Ethics course - No CE, free, self-paced
- The CE Shop:
2. FAIR HOUSING REQUIREMENT NEW:
Beginning January 1, 2025, NAR requires REALTORS® (R, PB, BIC, and appraiser members) to complete fair housing training every three years, with each three-year cycle ending on December 31st of the third year. The Fair Housing training requirement will follow the same timeline as the NAR Code of Ethics training requirement.
✅ HBR-approved courses: Take one of these courses to satisfy the Fair Housing training requirement - course list updated Sept. 15, 2026:
- Fairhaven 2.0 (no CE, free, self-paced) - offered by NAR Center for REALTOR® Development
- At Home With Diversity (6 CE) - offered by HBR. For upcoming live webinar dates and member price, check the HBR calendar
- Bias Override: Overcoming Barriers to Fair Housing (3 CE) - offered by HBR. For upcoming dates and member price, check the HBR calendar
- The CE Shop - Check Your Bias and Fair Housing Practice (3 CE)
