2016 City Council Candidates

June 7 was the filing deadline for candidates seeking election to City Council. Races with only two candidates will be voted on during the general election. Races with three or more candidates will be voted on during the primary election. If a candidate secures 50 percent of the vote plus one, then that candidate will win the race outright. If no candidate receives a majority, then the top two vote getters will move on to the general election.

REALTOR® members can play an important role in supporting candidates for office that support REALTOR® issues, so please register to vote, and be sure to review the HBR Voter Guide (coming soon!). Here are some important dates to remember: 

Aug. 13: Primary Election

Nov. 8: General Election

Polls are open 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.

District 1 (Portions of Ewa Villages and Ewa Beach, Kapolei, Makakilo, Kalaeloa, Honokai Hale, Ko Olina, Nanakuli, Ma'ili, Wai'anae, Makaha, Kea'au, Makua)

  • Keoni Dudley

District 3 (Ahuimanu, Heeia, Haiku, Kaneohe, Maunawili, Kailua, Olomana, Enchanted Lake, and Waimanalo)

District 5 (Kaimuki, Palolo Valley, St. Louis Heights, Manoa, Moiliili, McCully, and portions of Ala Moana, Kakaako, and Makiki)
