City Council to Set Next Year's Budget

Honolulu City Council is in the process of setting the city budget for fiscal year 2015-2016. This key piece of public policy is important to property owners because it determines the city's priorities and sets the real property tax rate, which will be applied this July.

City Council has posted to its website “The Budget,” a guide to the budget process, sources of revenue, expenditures and frequently asked questions. Currently, the city spends $2.1 billion to operate.
